Web Site Design Costs
The design proposal covers the cost and varies widely with the complexity and originality of the site.
Sites that want to be similar to something already out there are less expensive and time consuming than sites that are developed from scratch, however, this still depends on the complexity of the overall site.
Web Site Maintenance Costs

Web Site Transfer:
The price varies depending on the complexity of the site.
Sites that have all relative urls are cheaper than sites that have absolute urls - meaning that all page links have to be changed.
A web site with absolute linking would be $1.00 per page.
Database transfers are $50.00 and may increase with complexity.
A site with all relative links and no database would be a flat fee of $20.00.
Maintenance Plans
Plans are purchased for one year, billed monthly or yearly.
Plan A:
$30.00 per month
1 session per month (a session is defined as an email containing text to be added or changed).
Each session may contain an unlimited amount of text to be added or changed, provided by the following:
- The text to be changed already exists on the html page.
- The text if being added contains the same formatting as other textual content on the page and is itself in the same category as other text on the page.
- The page where the changes/additions are to be made already exists.
- The client provides the text in electronic format (email, word document etc.)
- The modifications will be published within two full working days after receipt of email and no other time edicts apply except as noted here: Sessions containing greater than 100 items ( an item consists of a group of text under the same sub heading) will require an additional one full working day per 100 items. (0 - 100 items two working days, 101 - 200 items 3 working days, 201 - 300 items 4 working days and so on.)
Plan B:
$60.00 per month
2 sessions per month (a session is defined as an email containing the text to be added or changed).
Each session may contain an unlimited amount of text to be added or changed, the same provisions as given in Plan A (line numbers a-e) apply to Plan B.
Plan C:
$120.00 per month
4 sessions per month (a session is defined as an email containing the text to be added or changed).
Each session may contain an unlimited amount of text to be added or changed, the same provisions as given in Plan A (line numbers a-e) apply to Plan C.
Notes on Plans A, B, C:
- Textual Links are included as text in Plans A, B and C. For graphical links, which would require a new graphic for the button, see the table below labeled additional maintenance.
- New pages that are added to the web site do not automatically fall under the maintenance plan. The maintenance plan would have to be renegotiated if the anticipated workload changes.

Graphics or Photos:
Images - Each photo or graphic that needs to be placed in a web page includes resizing, cropping, resetting the resolution and setting the alt tag.
Editing - Graphics that need editing to remove lines, adjust lighting, remove objects, and change backgrounds are $25.00 to start. Graphics that need a lot of editing will have to be priced after an analysis.
Graphics Creation - Graphics that need to be created - logos, buttons, backgrounds, corners etc will depend on complexity but start at $25.00 as a base price.
Photo Shoots - Photos taken on location are $50.00 for base price, and thereafter $25.00 per hour of photo shoot.
Web Design or Layout Changes:
Modifying design or layout will be based on the number of changes required and the complexity of the design / layout change. Webstyr will analyse the amount of time required to implement the changes and offer a proposal.
Database Tools:
Administrative tools to be used for deleting, adding or changing items in a database. $250.00 base price plus $50.00 for each table plus $5.00 per column in the table.
Example: A table of 15 columns would be $125.00.
If tables are the same (same number of columns and same column headings), the cost is only $10.00 per table for each additional table.
Example: If you have five similar tables, the first one costs $125.00, the next four only cost an additional $40.00
Example: You have a restaurant menu and want to be able to change the lunch prices, descriptions and titles. The cost is $65.00 to have the delete, add and modify tools access the entire lunch menu. You also have a dinner menu laid out the same way as the lunch menu; title, description and price. To also add this table to the admin tools is only $10.00 more.
Database Creation:
$50.00 initial fee. Complex databases will increase the price.
$100.00 for each table plus $10.00 per column. This includes setting up the database, entering in all the data and writing code that accesses the information and then displays the formatted output on the web page.
Navigation Buttons or Links:
The initial design is $25.00 per navigation button set design. Each button is an additional $3.00 in the set.
Scanned Images
$5.00 per scan. Manipulation of images including resizing, cropping, resetting resolution and placing in web page is an additional $15.00 per image.
Domain Name Registration:
$15.00 initial fee and thereafter $8.00 per year to keep registation alive. You own your own name. Webstyr will direct the name to your new site.
Consultation:
Short consultations are free ( 1- 5 minutes ). Additional consultations are charged at a rate of $50.00 per hour.
This includes 'how to' instructions for managing one's own site. Research on customer's behalf, or any other time consuming endeavor that the client requests such as being present at meetings or lunch to discuss business.
However, Webstyr does consult freely from time to time, especially if invited to a nice lunch :)
Customers who are having a web site designed will have free consultations on how to manage their site.
Notes:
All requests will be handled expeditiously, but will not begin until a contract has been signed by both parties and a 33% down payment of good faith has been received. The remaining 67% will be divided into two pay periods.
Any non-payment of services will be pursued following a legal avenue.
